Challenges in the Industrial Printing Market and New Solutions Offered by the New Model

The proliferation of digital printing has normalized short-run, multi-variety production in custom goods printing sector, such as smartphone cases, promotional items, and character goods. In the industrial printing sector, inkjet printers capable of stable printing on diverse materials like metal and resin are increasingly being adopted.

UJF-7151 plusII e

Addressing these challenges, the new UJF-7151 plusII e model inherits the top-class printing precision and productivity highly praised in previous models while significantly enhancing ink layering capability and uneven surface adaptability. Building on its existing performance printing on thick materials, it now enables three-dimensional texture expression through ink layering and improved conformability to diverse shapes like curved surfaces and irregularities. This supports high-value-added manufacturing across a wide range of fields, including custom goods businesses and industrial printing, opening new possibilities for industrial printing.

Custom Goods Printing: Enhances the added value and brand expression of customized products through three-dimensional texture printing.
Industrial Printing: Supports manufacturing efficiency and new market development through stable printing on stepped and curved components

FEATURES OF THE JV100-160 SERIES
2 newly designed print heads positioned in staggered mode

  • Resolution up to 1200dpi.
  • Variable drop printing, with a minimum size of 4pl.

01

New fast-drying AS5 eco-solvent ink

Efficient , quick-drying ink . In the 8-color configuration it offers better gamut coverage, photo-quality prints with faithful color reproduction.

  • 4C (CMYK) configuration for productivity.
  • 8C configuration for greater gamut coverage and photo-quality prints.

Stitch adjustment system – DAS

  • The system allows automatic calibration of bi-directional printing for always optimal bi-directional printing quality regardless of the thickness of the material or the printing speed. The drop position is automatically calculated and adjusted depending on the distance between the print heads and the surface of the material, ensuring the highest precision in dot positioning. This avoids the need for manual adjustments by the operator whenever the type of material changes.

  • Automatic adjustment of material advance  to prevent banding and ensure the highest print quality.
The system eliminates manual correction of material insertion and improves productivity.

02

ECO packs of 600ml ink

  • The new 600ml ink pack is cheaper than the previous 440ml pack.
  • The increased ink capacity reduces the need to replace the cartridge, making it efficient and economical.
  • Mimaki eco cartridges are reusable with 600ml ink packs.
03

New advanced print RIP: RasterLink 7

The new version of the print RIP offers:

  • Better management of PDF files and transparencies thanks to the new HARLEQUIN RIP engine.
  • Variable Data Management , to print output with variable text and image data.
  • 25% faster RIP even when handling complex PDF files.
  • User interface that maximizes screen efficiency with better display of screens.
04

3-stage intelligent heating system

The intelligent 3-stage heating system, patented by Mimaki, guarantees uniform ink drying across the entire width of the printer, thus allowing uniform image quality .

  • Pre-heater: Heats the material to the optimal temperature before printing.
  • Print heater: dries the ink as it hits the material, preventing smudging and improving color development.
  • Post-heater: Improves ink drying for stable rewinding.
  • The suction fans positioned at the top optimize ink drying.
05

Light black ink

The light black ink allows you to create beautiful, high-quality monochrome images . The special gray balance control without unexpected color variations allows you to obtain uniform, non-grainy skin tones and perfect shades of grey.

06

Wider color gamut with Orange ink

Orange ink provides a wider gamut with higher color accuracy , better brilliance and smoother image gradations.

  • The orange configuration covers approximately 94.8% of the PANTONE chart, 7% more than the 4C configuration.
  • The wide color gamut makes it possible to reproduce corporate colors more faithfully.
07

Variable drop technology

The system selects the 3 optimal drop sizes depending on the printing mode , from a drop with a minimum size of 4 pl to a maximum of 20 pl.
The grainy appearance is also reduced by using the high resolution print mode of 1200x1200dpi, available for high-quality printing.

08

Waveform control

Waveform control technology achieves precise positioning of ink droplets.

The drops are optimized by adjusting the frequency depending on the viscosity of the ink so that they are positioned accurately.
This results in sharper lines, texts and images.

09

High image quality: MAPS4

The 4th generation of Mimaki’s Advanced Pass System – MAPS4 – reduces banding and inconsistent colors . MAPS4 incorporates an advanced algorithm to print the border areas between steps to obtain beautiful quality prints with a homogeneous appearance.

10

Automatic maintenance for uninterrupted printing thanks to NCU and NRS systems

Continuous unmanned operation thanks to the Nozzle Check Unit (NCU) and Nozzle Recovery System (NRS) functions.
Less inspection time and less waste of material compared to the competition.

11

Print head durability – Automatic wiper cleaning

  • Ink that lands on the wiper is automatically removed during the print head cleaning procedure.
  • Ink residue on the wiper thus does not cause any contamination of the print head.
  • Daily maintenance is easier thanks to the automatic cleaning of the wiper.
12

ID CUT function in combo with CG-FXII Plus

The new ID CUT function, thanks to barcode reading , allows continuous and automatic operations with minimal operator intervention :

  • Multiple cutting function without interruption.
  • It reduces the need for operator intervention and therefore the interruptions between different cutting jobs.
  • Avoids errors, saves material and speeds up the production process.
13

GREENGUARD Gold certified inks

Mimaki eco-solvent inks are GREENGUARD Gold certified . Products with this certification meet rigorous safety standards for low chemical emissions (VOC) and are optimal for use in sensitive environments such as schools and healthcare facilities.

14

Productivity and Convenience
