The CFL-605RT flatbed cutting plotter allows the processing of extra A2 media and offers a variety of functions such as eccentric, tangential, alternating and creasing cutting.

The use of UV digital printers is now widespread for the creation of on-demand products, thanks also to the increase in small volumes of highly customized products. The CFL-605RT is also the result of innovative Mimaki technology and has been designed for on-demand production, taking advantage of its multiple functions, including cutting and creasing.

CFL-605RT is an efficient solution for producing prototypes, samples or small production runs of high-end packaging.

The combination of the CFL-605RT cutting plotter with the UJF Series UV LED flatbed printers adds value to the customization process, offering not only the printing of supports and objects but also the finishing and cutting of their packaging.

 

Use in combination with the UJF MkII Series for on-demand packaging production

Multiple cutting and creasing functions

1) Eccentric cutting
Maximum cutting thickness: 1 mm
Materials are cut precisely thanks to a cutting pressure that can be adjusted from 30 to 1,000 gr.

2) Tangential cutting
Maximum cutting thickness: 2 mm
Thanks to a very high cutting pressure, tangential cutting of materials up to 2 mm thick is possible, including reflective vinyl and rubber sheets. Cutting pressure from 500 to 1,500 g adjustable depending on the thickness of the material.

3) Alternating cut
Maximum cutting thickness: 10 mm
With a vertical alternating movement the blade cuts even the thickest materials such as foam rubber or corrugated cardboard.

4) Creasing
The roller allows for quick and easy creasing to create perfect packaging. The cutting pressure is adjustable from 500 to 1,500 g depending on the material you are using.

Suction system

The vacuum system keeps the material in place during the cutting operation. It is especially useful for thin and light materials.
In addition, the absorbent sheet, sold separately, to be placed on the surface of the material further increases the suction effect.

ArtiosCAD Software

Mimaki offers a complete solution for packaging production and using ArtiosCAD Designer Solution you can easily design and draw prototypes or customized packaging.
ArtiosCAD Designer Solution contains over 400 ready-made templates available in different sizes; you can choose the desired packaging, enter the dimensions and the file is ready immediately with the cutting and creasing lines. There is therefore no need for design or CAD skills. Furthermore, the created file can be opened in Adobe Illustrator to be quickly changed later on for the change of season, promotion, an event or on request.

It should be noted that the performance of the machines depends on the type of material used. Therefore, it is recommended to carry out a test before purchasing. In this regard, carefully read the product brochures where all the information relating to each machine is given.

Mimaki Technology

ID Cut

ID Cut is a Mimaki solution that prints cutting data in the form of a barcode between the registration marks of the images. On the cutting plotter, the barcode and registration marks are scanned by an optical sensor and cutting starts accordingly, without the need to send the cutting data separately, reducing human intervention.

Crop Mark DetectioN

This technology looks for consecutive crop marks and realigns the media accordingly, thus achieving highly accurate cutting on each image.

Half Cut

This technology combines “die cut” and “kiss cut” into a single contour, leaving a few connection points that hold the image in place after cutting into the media roll.

Over Cut

This technology cuts a perfect intersection at the beginning and end points in a single contour, ensuring easy vinyl removal.

Corner Cut

This technology creates the perfect intersection of all sharp corners in a single contour, ensuring the ideal cut.
