3D modeling technology
The 3DUJ-2207 employs the UV curable inkjet method, a printing process that involves successive layers of ink, including support material, on top of each other until the desired object is completed.

3DUJ-2207 Mimaki is a compact 3D printer with full-color printing capabilities, capable of reproducing more than 10 million colors with Mimaki’s advanced UV LED system. With this technology, expressive, high-definition colors are obtained, twice as expressive as traditional 3D printing.
The richness of colors, difficult to achieve with the post-printing coloring method, makes Mimaki UV LED technology an ideal tool in fields where attention and precision in detail is required. For example in the design and development of toys and figurines, architectural models and home applications, where even the slightest difference in color can make a difference.
3DUJ-2207 Mimaki has a compact design, can fit in an elevator without being disassembled, is silent when printing and is equipped with a deodorizing system* making it ideal for environments such as offices and classrooms.

3DUJ-2207 is compact enough to be installed in an environment such as an office or classroom. It has a 2.0 x 2.3 meter print bed, with noise reduction and an optional deodorising system*
Modeling with CMYK inks, white and clear (transparent), allows you to reach 84% of the Fogra39L color gamut and over 90% of the SWOP gamut. Models printed with conventional 3D printers have a light, low-saturated color on the surface. Using Mimaki UV LED technology the 3DUJ-2207 printer produces models with beautiful and realistic colors, with a highly transparent clear ink.
In addition to its high transparency, Mimaki clear ink can make colors translucent through the simultaneous application of colored ink and clear ink. The combination of the two inks expands the design possibilities.
Thanks to Mimaki’s expertise in 2D printing, the precise positioning of ink drops have also achieved phenomenal results in 3D printing. This high precision can generate elaborate modeling focused on realistic refinement and detail.
The variable drop function allows the emission of 3 different ink drop sizes based on need. This specific function allows the modeling of extremely homogeneous grain-free color shades and accurate colors.
The ink uses acrylic resin which has the same strength as ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), making it possible to design holes and hooks. Furthermore, coating layers can be used and overlapped, making different finishes possible for the same product.

Withstands a force of 5 kg with tight screwing.
It uses a water-soluble support material that can be easily washed off with water. This allows the removal of the same even on extremely delicate objects, without the risk of damage.
3DUJ-2207 uses Mimaki UV LED technology which works by irradiating UV (Ultra Violet) rays. The UV LED curing source does not heat the object and no pre-print heating is required, saving time and costs.
