Challenges in the Industrial Printing Market and New Solutions Offered by the New Model

The proliferation of digital printing has normalized short-run, multi-variety production in custom goods printing sector, such as smartphone cases, promotional items, and character goods. In the industrial printing sector, inkjet printers capable of stable printing on diverse materials like metal and resin are increasingly being adopted.

UJF-7151 plusII e

Addressing these challenges, the new UJF-7151 plusII e model inherits the top-class printing precision and productivity highly praised in previous models while significantly enhancing ink layering capability and uneven surface adaptability. Building on its existing performance printing on thick materials, it now enables three-dimensional texture expression through ink layering and improved conformability to diverse shapes like curved surfaces and irregularities. This supports high-value-added manufacturing across a wide range of fields, including custom goods businesses and industrial printing, opening new possibilities for industrial printing.

Custom Goods Printing: Enhances the added value and brand expression of customized products through three-dimensional texture printing.
Industrial Printing: Supports manufacturing efficiency and new market development through stable printing on stepped and curved components

Emboss print upto 5mm

04

Mimaki Weaving Dot Technology (MWDT)

Variable drop technology optimized for small 3pl sizes
Mimaki Weaving Dot Technology (MWDT) for smooth gradations and high-speed printing without banding, thanks to inkjet control for greater drop placement precision.

05

Ink supply system for large quantities of up to 4 liters per colour

The new feeding system allows the use of 2 liter ink pouches. In 4C mode it is possible to load up to 4 liters of ink per colour, operating as an uninterrupted supply system and allowing continuous operation.

Furthermore, through the ink mixing function, costs are significantly reduced while maintaining the consistency and reliability of Mimaki inks.

06

DAS system for automatic calibration of bi-directional printing and material advancement

Automatic adjustment of material advance prevents banding and ensures the highest print quality.

The system allows automatic calibration of bi-directional printing for always optimal quality regardless of the thickness of the material or the printing speed. The drop jet is automatically calculated and adjusted depending on the distance between the print heads and the material surface, ensuring the highest precision in dot positioning. This avoids the need for manual adjustments by the operator whenever the type of material changes. Furthermore, the possibility of storing the different automatic calibrations inside the printer allows multiple operators to work on the same printer with the same output quality, even in the presence of less experienced operators.

07

Illuminated printing platform

An LED light has been added above the build plate for easier maintenance and control of the production process.

08

Coil changing system to save time and material waste

The automatic roll changing system is designed to quickly and easily change the printing material from the feed side. The compact design makes it possible to place 3 spools without needing extra space for more efficient material storage.

The only bobbin changing device that increases flexibility and improves workflow.

09

High performance automatic XY trimmer

System designed for inline cutting in the XY direction of print jobs performed on different materials, such as posters, photos, canvases, vinyl and laminated materials.
Using RasterLink7 crop marks to trace the edge of the image,   the XY trimmer enables a new inline feature and speeds up your workflow.
There is a metal dancer for managing even complex materials.

10

Special rewinding system with 2 motors

The two synchronized motors allow precise rewinding of the printed material even at the highest speeds.

11

V-cut for more precise and easier rewinding

The CJV330-160 is equipped with a V-shape cutting function which, at the start of printing, allows   the adhesive tape to be fixed to the rewinder   in a single point, improving the stability of the rewind and equalizing the tension at the ends of the reel.

12

ID CUT function to automate the production process

The innovative ID-CUT is a function that allows you to recall cutting data by reading a previously printed barcode. Data transmission is one-off, dramatically reducing operator intervention in the printing and cutting process and increasing production efficiency.

AVOID ERRORS IN  POST- PRINT PROCESSES

  • The ID CUT function allows the management of the  cutting function of multiple jobs without  operator intervention .

THE ID CUT FUNCTION  MAKES  PRINTING  AND  CUTTING  EASIER

  • The acquisition of cutting data through barcode reading automates the cutting operation of even multiple jobs and allows you to save time and  reduce material waste .

HOW  IT WORKS

  • Creating  data  ,  settings and cutting conditions  in   Fine  Cut 9
  • RasterLink software, included in Mimaki printers,  prints  the  ID code and image
  • The  ID barcode includes  cutting   and  rotation information
  • The  optical reader detects  the  ID barcode  and  cuts automatically

13

Advanced cutting functions

HALF CUT AND THROUGH CUT: combination of two cutting functions that leave small joining points for the creation of cut-out and die-cut stickers.

OVER CUT AND CORNER CUT: the Over-cut and Corner-cut functions ensure   perfectly defined and cut contours without leaving cutting residues,  even on thick  or  viscous materials , thanks to the overlapping of the start and end points (Over-cut ) and the abundance of cutting near the corners (Corner-cut) .

14

Eccentric cutting technique

The   offset  parameter defines  the  distance between  the  tip of the  blade and the  center of rotation, allowing  the optimization of  material dragging in order to obtain the best  possible cutting quality .

DRAG MOVEMENT

  1. The  rotating blade stops  cutting   before  reaching  the  corner .
  2. The pivoting blade  is rotated ,  moving to the desired angle , without  leaving  the  material .
  3. After  completing  the  pirouetting motion , the  corner cutting  continues.

15

Functions for managing registration marks

CONTINUOUS REGISTRATION MARK DETECTION FOR CUTTING WITHOUT OPERATOR INTERVENTION: when multiple images are positioned ,  this function detects each  registration  mark , switching from one image to another automatically  to  ensure  continuous and extremely  precise   cutting  . An entire roll  of  printed material is cut  and  rewound without the presence of an operator , thus facilitating the production of large quantities.

ZERO   MARGIN   REGISTRATION  MARKS : reducing   the  margin between marks minimizes material  waste  .

INTERMEDIATE REGISTER MARKS: allow  for  accurate alignment on longer  cutting  jobs .

Automatic material blocking function

Pinch roller pressure automatically changes in 4 levels (High/Middle/Low/OFF)
Customized material pressure to obtain good printing and cutting quality.
Fully automatic functions that make the printing and cutting process possible without manual intervention.

16

Raster Link 7 and new features
